Jones in 1924, at a time when Bitstream did not yet exist, so that the copyright year "1990" has also been forged. It did not change the TrueType unique identification record which still contains the old name "Elegant Garamond" and also another fancy name "Aldine 424" used elsewhere for Bitstream's forgery of the "Granjon" font designed by George W. "Elegant Garamond", Bitstream's forgery of "Granjon", was later renamed to "ElegaGarmnd". Font comparisons on the basis of font names are not possible, since Bitstream Inc., presumably after having been sued, changed many names. For instance, CorelDraw 9 contains 2 Weidemann font cuts, whereas CorelDraw 11 contains 4 Weidemann fonts. Both versions of CorelDraw include nearly the same number of Bitstream fonts with minor differences.
